Evaluation and impact reports on media development responses to disinformation.
The five-year program was implemented in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. See pages 76 to 82 for details of the cost extension period from 2017 to 2019 when one objective was modified to include efforts to strengthen media and digital literacy. The interventions included a media literacy manual that has been deployed at universities and fact-checking training that led to the formation of a 384-strong journalist group on Facebook for fact-checking. The document includes a section on challenges and lessons learned at the regional level and in the three implementation countries.
