"Right now, we find our world and our communities once again divided between democracy and authoritarianism. Only free and independent journalism can meet the challenge of the moment. At the 2022 IPI World Congress, we’re more than a conference. We’re a movement for journalism. For two-and-a-half days, we’ll put journalism at the centre of the world, back where IPI first started in 1950 at Columbia University in New York." This Congress will take place in New York City.

Tickets are available for purchase here.

"The two-day symposium will devote the first day to dealing with the past and focus on the question: What role should media and international media assistance play in a violent conflict? What role do media play in reconciliation and peacebuilding? And, which realistic formats available to international media development players exist to strengthen these processes and conflict mitigation?" It will take place in Hamburg, Germany.

European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), Coalition Against SLAPPs in Europe (CASE), European Parliament

"The aim of the conference is to examine European and national political and other initiatives against SLAPPs, to bring to light its impact on journalism and to discuss available financial and practical support for journalists targeted by SLAPPs."
