This study is based on a body of desk research as well as a series of online interviews with GFMD members from Eastern Europe, Asia and South America. Conducted by Ukrainian research organisation OPERATYVNA SOTSIOLOHIIA between March and September 2024, the research gathered the views of 2,391 participants and included 49 discussions to explore the vital role of local media in accessing information and supporting communities during war and post-conflict reconstruction.
