# Literature Review

## Mapping the funding landscape for media and journalism support in Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq (2025)

GFMD is conducting a mapping to evaluate the funding landscape in six focus countries (from 2020 to present). 

We will use this information to: 

* Support a sector-wide discussion on the funding situation at the GFMD regional meeting on 18 December 2024
* Identify gaps in funding and areas for collaboration/coordination. 
* Avoid unnecessary duplication of efforts.

The mapping will be published in January 2025 following inputs from GFMD members at the 18 December regional meeting.&#x20;
