From insight to policy: Coordinating research for journalism support (Aug.2025)
Date: Wednesday, 27 August Time: 15:00–16:30 CET Location: Zoom – register here
Objectives
In light of the withdrawal of US funding and significant cuts to official development assistance (ODA) for media development and journalism support, our community has had to redouble its efforts to promote journalism and media as integral to the public interest.
We need to make the case for media support by:
generating data and evidence through research
shaping this into compelling narratives, policy positions, and recommendations
supporting journalism and media as essential to democracy and epistemic security
