Objectives
Provide recommendations to donors and intermediaries on how to better structure, prioritise and coordinate ongoing and planned funding.
Identify how the GFMD community can respond to the withdrawal of some donors from the region.
Review a new GFMD mapping of past, current and planned funding in the region, which GFMD will use to provide the evidence for dialogue with existing and potential future donors.
How will GFMD use what we learn from the meeting?
We will deliver practical recommendations to donors on how media assistance to the region can better align with the OECD Development Co-operation Principles for Relevant and Effective Support to Media and the Information Environment which donors themselves have subscribed to.
